Hello

I’m Paul Eden…..Chair of our building’s RTM group

My early background was retail management and subsequently as an independent builder, managing sub contractors in all manner of refurbishments, then as refurbishment and new build project manager for one of the major DIY sheds and subsequently, over the last 30 years, in general middle management roles… with the last twenty as joint MD with my wife Carole, of a niche business in the leisure sector…

Together with my fellow leaseholders, we have formed and managed a successful RTM,

and ….after looking at (and experiencing) the current residential agent, ‘ culture,’ I have concluded

….there is a better way.

I have decided to create and lead a businesslike self help fraternity, to take the, ‘mystery’ out of property/block management and offer basic simple guidance about every aspect of how to do it, yourselves… The Blockheads concept is entirely focused to help you and your leaseholders develop your knowledge and skills and is not intended to imply any professional or legal status,  and final responsibility for all your RTM group decisions are your own.

When the leaseholders of a building finally decide they want to self manage the building (their home) themselves, the Blockheads RTM communal concept offers the security and safety of taking advice from others in the same position who have no ulterior agenda and who can share (often free of charge) their own experience of managing their building ….

Moreover, all of whom have unbiased credibility because they have already successfully made the leap to self management ….and saved themselves many thousands of pounds in service and residential agent charges, together with the additional benefit of utilising contractors used by other Blockheads, who can be relied upon for their diligence and quality of their workmanship……

And furthermore, now have a choice in deciding their own future…..

My aspiration is not long term recurring profits, but simply to provide you with the resource, tools, knowledge and courage to enjoy the benefits and rewards of Right to Manage.

And when you do actually take control of your own home, manage and organise its ongoing development,  I can promise you, that you will wonder why you didn’t do it years ago.
